Microsoft recently announced changes to their commercial pricing for Microsoft 365 licensing. The first substantive Microsoft price increase since Office 365 was launched a decade ago, the pricing will increase by as much as 20% for some licences.
Microsoft are stating that the price increases reflect the increased value they have delivered to customers over the past 10 years, including the introduction of Microsoft 365 - bringing together the best of Office, Windows, and Enterprise Mobility and Security (EMS) and of course, the addition of Microsoft Teams where you can meet, chat, call, collaborate, and automate business processes – which proved invaluable to many businesses during lockdown.

Whilst you cannot avoid the prices increases completely, you are able in many cases to take out a new contract for up to 36 months to lock in the current pricing, thus delaying the price increases until a point in the future. You should also be reviewing the licences you are using currently, to ensure you are not paying for licences and applications you are no longer using.
